Courtney Allen was born and raised in a small town on Long Island, New York. Upon visiting San Diego in her early twenties, she immediately fell in love with the area and was determined to one day reside there. In 2011 (almost 10 years later) Courtney packed her SUV and drove cross country to pursue life in a new city. She has lived in the beautiful city of San Diego ever since.
After 5 years in Sales and Marketing working with such clients as Eastman Kodak, Nestle, and Omron, she began her career in finance as a Consumer Loan Underwriter. In 2014 Courtney switched from a position in operations to a sales position with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage to experience the industry from another perspective.
While residing in NY, Courtney volunteered with an organization, Rainbows for All Children, as a facilitator for groups of children who were experiencing a change in their family dynamic (deployment, divorce, etc.). She was inspired by the children’s hope, their strength, and their resilience. Upon meeting a fellow Long Islander, here in San Diego, who is extremely passionate about Include Autism, and his role in the organization’s growth, she jumped at the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors when invited.
Fun fact about Courtney: Even though she can’t play an instrument or sing to save her life, she is very passionate about music, is known to spend hours at the Record Shop sifting through vinyl’s, and has attended countless concerts.
