Volunteer and Peer Pals Program
Include Autism offers many opportunities for those in our community to join us! By volunteering with Include Autism, you can serve as a role model and mentor, and offer friendship to our program participants, all while gaining community service hours for a resume or college application! A Peer Pal and Volunteer Coach can obtain valuable experience and education about Autism Spectrum Disorders and see firsthand how amazing these individuals truly are.
- Our Peer Pals Program accommodates those ranging from ages 13 to 16 years old and our Volunteer Coaching Program is for those ages 17+.
Looking for an internship?
Include Autism’s interns support our Community Coaching program participants in developing socially appropriate behaviors through peer interactions, communication strategies, exemplifying friendship and social independence, as well as by teaching community safety skills in a multitude of community environments. Interns will gain valuable hands-on training and a unique experience working with the full spectrum of school-aged children as well as young adults with an autism diagnosis, all while working alongside directors that hold over 20 combined years of experience serving individuals diagnosed with autism.
