The focus is on developing and generalizing skills across multiple environments, while building reciprocal, meaningful relationships by fostering healthy, functional social skills and behaviors in across relevant community environments. The CC Social Club helps program participants become more independent, capable and meaningfully contributing members of their own communities.
Participation in the CC Social Club offers unique opportunities for our Program Participants within their own communities. CC Social Club participants learn a variety of age-appropriate skills necessary to require less support and live as independently as possible as contributing community members. CC Social Club participants will also learn how to utilize unstructured time in a socially acceptable and functional manner. These are skill sets that are often not taught to adolescents and teens in a school setting and families often find teaching such activities time-consuming and extremely challenging in real-life settings. Participants will be given daily opportunities to learn and to practice such skills through engaging in supported real-life experiences with peers.
The CC Social Club strives to better prepare our Program Participants for a successful transition from school into the community working towards getting a job or furthering education and living in a more independent, peer-included setting of their choice. Our goal is to build the skills to maximize functional independence, enhance social inclusion opportunities, and build natural networks of support to live, work, and socialize as independently as one chooses.
TheCC Social Club will launch September 2017. If you are interested in entering your child into this program, please fill out the form and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
